John Cena WrestleMania 39 Update, Triple H’s Austin Theory Plans, Big NXT Heel Turn – News Bulletin – November 9, 2022 WWE

There’s an update to John Cena at WrestleMania 39, Triple H has plans for Austin Theory, a big heel turn happened on NXT, and more.

It’s Wednesday morning and what better way to get through the middle of the week than with your wrestling news bulletin for November 9, 2022?

John Cena WrestleMania 39 Status Update

With WrestleMania 39 coming in 2023, this may be the next time that we see John Cena wrestle in a WWE ring.

His last match took place at SummerSlam in 2021 and it looks unlikely that he’ll make an appearance as 2022 comes to an end.

WrestleVotes, however, is confident that we’ll see Cena return when WrestleMania comes to Los Angeles.

John Cena appears for his WWE 20-year celebration

The last time John Cena appeared on WWE TV was for his 20-year celebration on June 27

Speaking to Louis Dangoor of GiveMeSport the WrestleVotes Twitter account said:

“Cena should be there and Cena should be wrestling.”

Whilst there were those who felt Cena’s involvement would be less likely following the retirement of Vince McMahon, WrestleVotes doesn’t expect this to be the case, saying:
“I know he touches base every so often, and although Vince is out of the picture, Cena still has a love for this place.”

Triple H’s Plans For Austin Theory

Austin Theory finally cashed in his Money in the Bank opportunity against Seth Rollins on WWE Raw.

His failed attempt caused much consternation, as he was cashing in on the WWE United States Championship, a secondary title, during a match that was, in itself, an ‘open challenge’.

Whilst Baron Corbin may have welcomed Theory to a very special club, Theory took to Twitter to say he will “never stop and That’s All Day”, posting a highlight video.

Bobby Lashley attacks Austin Theory

Bobby Lashley attacked both Seth Rollins and Austin Theory, costing Theory his Money in the Bank cash-in

It also looks like Triple won’t stop, either, in his quest to elevate Theory, with Ringside News reporting that:

“We were assured by a writer with first-hand knowledge of this situation that, ‘Theory is better off today than he has been since Vince retired’.”

Without the albatross that was the Money in the Bank briefcase and the potential of a feud featuring both Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley, the source believes:

“Now WWE can place Theory in a position where he needs to be.”

Big Heel Turn On NXT

The main event of the November 8 episode of WWE NXT saw Zoey Stark & Nikkita Lyons take on NXT Tag Team Women’s Champions Katana Chance & Kayden Carter.

With the championship on the line, it was a hard-fought match that saw the champions retain.

After the match, Stark and Lyons presented the tag team titles to the champions, though not before Stark would choose that moment to smash Lyons in the face.
