John Cena Wrestles Dark Match After August 13 SmackDown

Ahead of his match at SummerSlam, John Cena wrestled a dark match following the August 13 edition of SmackDown.

During the show, Cena cut a promo on Roman Reigns, referencing CM Punk and Jon Moxley. After the episode went off the air, Cena teamed with Rey & Dominik Mysterio to face Roman Reigns & The Usos.

Cena pinned Jimmy Uso after receiving a hot tag. Inside The Ropes shared photos from the match on Twitter:

Before SmackDown, Keith Lee was victorious over an unnamed opponent. Lee recently posted a video explaining why he was off WWE TV earlier this year.

Stars from NXT were also in action before SmackDown kicked off. Ridge Holland defeated Austin Theory in a singles bout, and Xia Li teamed with Aliyah to defeat Dakota Kai and Kacy Catanzaro in tag team action.

Dakota Kai will challenge Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver 36 on August 22. Samoa Joe will do battle with Karrion Kross for the NXT Title at the event.
