John Cena’s first WWE appearance following his retirement at Saturday Night’s Main Event has been confirmed.
John Cena’s in-ring career came to an end last weekend at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington DC, when he submitted to GUNTHER in his final match.
Prior to his retirement, Cena had stated that he would still make appearances for the company, including signing a new five-year deal to serve as an ambassador for the company.
Following Cena’s retirement, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes teased an upcoming announcement regarding Cena, and it has now been confirmed what that announcement is.
Today, Cody Rhodes announced that John Cena will be his next guest on the What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, which is set to release tomorrow, and be Cena’s first appearance on a WWE platform since his retirement.
Cena previously stated that any future appearances he makes for the company will see him wearing a suit instead of his iconic jean shorts and t-shirts he made famous throughout his legendary career.
GUNTHER has now commented on John Cena’s WWE retirement match, and how it differed from him retiring Goldberg, which you can see here.
