John Cena To Receive Special Award Ahead Of WWE WrestleMania 41

John Cena is set to receive a lifetime achievement award ahead of challenging for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41.

UPDATE: While the Cena lunch will be happening, WWE has clarified that he is not set to achieve a lifetime achievement award as part of it. Also, it’ll be April 18, not 19.

With John Cena winning the #1 Contender’s Elimination Chamber match, the 16-time world champion will have the chance to win a record 17th world title at the April 19-20 PLE.

Ahead of WrestleMania 41, John Cena is set to be part of a significant special event.

Per PWInsider, On Location will be offering tickets to just 20 fans to join Cena for a special lunch on April 19, ahead of WrestleMania 41 Night One.

This event will reportedly include having a meal with John Cena, hearing speeches about him, and “seeing the real John receive a lifetime achievement award.”

Tickets for this lunch – listed as taking place in a five-star restaurant – will set fans back $25,000 each.

John Cena is currently establishing a new character on WWE TV, after attacking Cody Rhodes and aligning with The Rock at Elimination Chamber.

Cena noted on the March 17 Raw episode that he is breaking up with the WWE fanbase, a sentiment he has since doubled down on.

This is all ahead of John Cena’s retirement from wrestling, with Cena set to hand his jorts up for good in December.
