John Cena Teases Feud With Top WWE Star After Royal Rumble 2025 Announcement? WWE

John Cena has potentially teased a WWE feud with a top star following his Royal Rumble announcement yesterday (November 13).

In an announcement posted to social media yesterday, it was confirmed that John Cena will be entering his final Royal Rumble match on February 1 at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium.

With no other announcements made for Cena’s 2025 WWE retirement tour, one would assume that the Rumble will be Cena’s first match of the year, as fans speculate regarding potential feuds that the 16-time world champion could have throughout the year.

One potential program high on many fans’ lists is Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, someone Cena could potentially face at WrestleMania 41 should he win the 2025 Rumble match.

While that remains to be seen, the Hollywood star’s latest Instagram post may indicate that Rhodes is potentially on his mind as we approach the Rumble.

In a hilarious mock-up image that can be seen below, Cena posted a picture of Rhodes in Stardust attire but with the theming of his current American Nightmare character.

As ever with Cena’s IG posts there was no context given to the image, with fans in the comments theorising that it was a tease for a WrestleMania match between the two.

That remains to be seen, however, it was recently reported that WWE were discussing potentially booking Cena in a world title program at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

With Cena sitting at 16 world championship wins, one more victory would see him surpass Ric Flair as the star with the most world title wins in WWE history.

We will post further updates on WWE’s plans for Cena as/when they become available.
