AEW’s MJF has shared his honest thoughts on John Cena’s heel turn at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025.
Many have called Cena’s heel turn one of the biggest moments in wrestling history, with the 16-time world champion attacking Cody Rhodes and aligning with The Rock at the March 1 PLE.
Speaking on SI Media With Jimmy Traina, MJF stated that he thought the moment was awesome.
Noting that he watched Elimination Chamber live, MJF said:
“I get really annoyed when people in either company pretend that they don’t — let me put it this way: Yes, I was watching it (WWE Elimination Chamber).
“I was watching it live, it was an awesome moment (John Cena’s heel turn) and everybody should think it was an awesome moment because it was, point blank, end of discussion.”
MJF and John Cena were notably spotted together at the premiere for the 2023 move The Iron Claw, which MJF briefly appeared in and was an Executive Producer for.
John Cena previously noted that he told MJF that they’ll maybe get the AEW star to ‘play for the right team’ one day.
MJF also commented on his plans for when his AEW contract expires, click here to read more.
