A WWE Hall of Famer has praised John Cena’s Intercontinental Championship victory as ‘perfect’ and ‘great television’.
John Cena captured his first-ever Intercontinental Championship on this week’s Raw, when he defeated Dominik Mysterio to complete his Grand Slam.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T reacted to Cena’s victory, calling it ‘perfect’.
He said:
“I just think it’s really good TV. People are wondering what’s gonna happen with Dom, I don’t think people have to worry about Dominik Mysterio, this guy’s on a trajectory like I’ve never seen before in this business.
“The way he has taken that mantle and run with it, and Dominik is in his own lane, nobody can do what he does, so he’s gonna be good.
“As far as John Cena winning it to set up this retirement tour, it’s perfect, because somebody’s gonna get that shot. The person’s gonna have the chance to walk in and perhaps walk out the new champion, beating John Cena, the story is just too good.”
