R-Truth Addresses John Cena WWE Raw Heel Promo

Following the March 17, 2025, episode of WWE Raw, R-Truth is puzzled at the reaction to John Cena in Brussels, Belgium.

Cena addressed his recent actions, having started his heel turn at Elimination Chamber with an attack on Cody Rhodes.

Pretty much blaming the WWE fans for his new take on life, Cena went as far as saying that he wanted to “do something nice for you guys” before saying that it was those very fans who had ruined the retirement plans.

With the fans at the Forest National in Brussels vocal in their disdain towards 16-time World Champion, R-Truth has shared his confusion at the reaction.

R-Truth has previously been a bit taken aback by Cena’s heel turn and continues to be in a state of confusion in a recent tweet.

Posting on Twitter, R-Truth asked why the fans had turned on his own childhood hero, posting:

“Something’s wrong… Why is everyone turning on my childhood hero @JohnCena?”

A number of fans tried to help R-Truth understand what had taken place, although he wouldn’t respond to many of these.

He did, however, share a retweet of his March 3, 2025, music video after a fan tweeted:

“The WWE universe after John Cena broke up with us.”

Following John Cena’s heel promo, it was reported that WWE were “ecstatic” with the reaction from the fans in Brussels.

It was further noted that a source stated that the Forest National crowd was the “hottest TV environment they’ve experienced”.

After Cena went off on the fans for their treatment of him, Cody Rhodes would then address the retiring star in the ring, ahead of their match at the April 19 & 20 WWE WrestleMania 41.
