Dominik Mysterio has shared his first comments on John Cena’s retirement at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this past weekend.
The December 13 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event saw GUNTHER defeat Cena, with The Ring General sharing his own message to the fans on last night’s WWE Raw, before being sent home by Adam Pearce.
Before his final match, however, Cena put his WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line against Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series WarGames in November.
With Mysterio becoming a two-time Intercontinental Champion following his victory over Cena, he has now shared his thoughts on the retired veteran.
Speaking to Byron Saxton during a commercial break on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, Mysterio revealed he feels “fantastic” at seeing Cena retire, stating:
“I feel absolutely fantastic about it. The fact that I’m the last person to ever beat the greatest of all time for a championship.
“I think that makes me the greatest Mysterio of all time. The greatest AAA Mega Champion of all time and the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time.”

With the fans seemingly less than receptive to Mysterio’s claims, he would shake his head at the reaction he received from those in attendance.
With Mysterio still a member of Judgment Day, it was recently reported that JD McDonagh is dealing with injuries and appears to be undergoing medical treatment to tackle the issues.
