Surprise Appearance At John Cena WWE Retirement Match

Just before the WWE retirement match of John Cena was about to take place, there was a surprise appearance from a popular NXT star.

Whilew the announcers were building up Cena vs GUNTHER, The Miz entered the ring in the same outfit he wore when he defeated Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 27 in 2011.

Miz complained about being overlooked and not getting a match against Cena during his retirement year.

He was then interrupted by R-Truth, who came into the ring with one of the tombola balls from when the draw for the Last Time Is Now tournament took place.

Truth said that Miz had tampered with the balls and had cost someone their chance to enter the tournament, and that person’s name was written on the slip of paper in the ball.

Miz opened the ball and saw that it read ‘Joe Hendry’ – after a few moments, Miz made the mistake of saying ‘Joe Hendry’ aloud, and as everyone knows, if you say his name, he appears.

WWE NXT star Hendry popped up on the ring apron before and Truth playfully laid out Miz in the middle of the ring, including a tribute to John Cena as they landed a double Five Knuckle Shuffle.

Hendry was very vocal earlier in the year about wanting a match against Cena before he retired – that didn’t happen, but he’s one of the very few who can say he had a role to play on Cena’s final show.
