Maven Pushes For WWE Star To Be John Cena’s Final Opponent WWE

Former Hardcore Champion Maven has pushed for a current WWE star to be John Cena’s final opponent at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

A tournament is currently underway to determine the final opponent for John Cena on December 13, with the first four entrants now revealed.

Although not yet confirmed as a participant in the ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament, Bron Breakker is a name on Maven’s mind as the final opponent for Cena.

With Cody Rhodes having named Breakker as a WWE star who could be “the guy“, former WWF Hardcore Champion Maven has also shared his praise, when he was recently asked who he would have in Cena’s last match.

During a recent appearance on TMZ Sports, Maven put forward the case for the two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, saying:

“It’s going to have to be someone they’re trying to push moving forward. Someone who they see carrying the ball for the next 10 years, someone that needs the push.

“That’s the whole thing in wrestling, when someone’s on the way down, on the way out, their job is to pass the rock, ‘here, you take it from here.’ That’s usually a very coveted slot.

“Just because I’m selfish and I like the guy a lot… I could not be more impressed with Bron (Breakker). I just think, if you were in a lab making a wrestler, you’d make him.

“What finally sold me on him, too, was something that you don’t think of as being important, but it is. (ESPN) had Bron on Sports Center dressed up in a suit.

“You need someone that’s going to be so well spoken, someone that’s going to represent your company well. I watched Bron and he’s so well spoken; he comes off just making the company look great.

“So I think, selfishly just because I’m a fan of his, I’d like to see maybe him in that. That’s an important spot.”
