Backstage Reaction After John Cena’s Final WWE Match WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has revealed the backstage reaction after John Cena’s final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The December 13 WWE show saw John Cena step into the ring for his final match, losing to GUNTHER in the main event.

With a number of guests in attendance, including WWE Hall of Famers, Mark Henry was one such name to be seen on screen.

Henry has now shared his thoughts on the match during an appearance on Busted Open Radio, revealing the emotional reaction backstage, saying:

“I walked through the back to do this broadcast and there was a line of about thirty or forty people to get to John, hugging and consoling him.

“We gave the salute and I came going and came up here, but like, I mean, people were emotional. It’s been a while since… the last time I seen people crying emotional like that was… somebody passed away.

“John is still alive and well. He’s going to Hollywood and he’s going to make some incredible films. You’re gonna keep hearing him, every day, on all the commercials and ad spaces that he does. He’s not going away. He’s just going away from the ring.”
