Some clarification has been provided on John Cena’s availability ahead of WrestleMania 39, which you can read more about right here.
An update has emerged on the WWE status of John Cena after he returned to Raw this past week in Boston, Massachusetts.
Cena was back in his home state to confirm a WrestleMania 39 match for the United States Title against current champion Austin Theory.
Despite how rarely we’ve seen Cena recently, the divisive segment with him and Theory on Monday might not be the last we see of him before WrestleMania comes around.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cena wrapped filming on Ricky Stanicky on March 4, meaning he’s actually available to return to WWE TV over the next several weeks.
No specific dates were mentioned, and you’d think that if he is going to appear, WWE would announce it in advance since it led to such a boost in ticket sales in Boston.
So far though, WWE hasn’t announced any upcoming Cena appearances other than the Mania match.
We’ll of course keep you updated with the details if that changes.
John Cena was recently a guest speaker at Cody Rhodes and AEW star QT Marshall’s Nightmare Factory training school, which you can read about at this link.
