Does John Cena Aim To Win 17th World Title On WWE Retirement Tour Revealed WWE

John Cena has commented on the possibility of him winning his record 17th WWE world championship during his retirement tour.

With John Cena announcing that his final WWE matches will take place next year, some have speculated that the Hollywood star will have one more run with a world title in 2025.

As John Cena and Ric Flair are currently tied with the most world title reigns recognised by WWE, a 17th world championship win for John Cena would make WWE history.

During the Money in the Bank post-show press conference, John Cena noted that he’d love the opportunity to win another world title, but feels he’d have to work his way up to a title shot.

Sharing his honest thoughts, Cena said:

“I would love that opportunity, but those opportunities are earned, and given my past track record, I got some work to do. So what I said tonight about fantastic opportunities, man, the Rumble, that’s a great ticket, right? Elimination Chamber now has some stakes to it, so that’s another great opportunity.

“Like I said, WrestleMania is not my last (match), Money in the Bank is another great opportunity, so I know from a straight competitive standpoint, I gotta work my way up from the bottom because I’m a realist. But there are some opportunities scattered in there that if I do harness a little bit more luck, who knows, man? Maybe we really make some history. Either way, I’m excited.”

A WWE star has teased reigniting his rivalry with John Cena, which you can read more about right here.
