John Cena Discusses His Motivation Ahead Of WWE WrestleMania 41

John Cena has commented on his current mindset ahead of WrestleMania 41, where he will challenge for the WWE Championship.

March 1 was a big night for Cena, with the 16-time world champion first winning an Elimination Chamber match to earn his WrestleMania title shot.

The night didn’t end here for John Cena, who went on to turn heel by attacking Cody Rhodes.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Cena provided some insight on what keeps him going.

Noting that he tackles each mountain with the same ethos, Cena said:

“I don’t think my ethos changes regardless of what the hill in front of me is to climb. I think that’s the fun of it… getting into a rhythm of familiarity is sometimes stifling for growth so man there is different hills in front of me every day.

“There’s one in front of me has its own challenges and I’m just trying to do the best I can to climb the hill in front of me.”

Refusing to spoil his plans ahead of WrestleMania 41, Cena shared the following message for WWE fans:

“Anything I tell (SI) will be a spoiler to fans, so I’m just going to say, you gotta watch the show to see what happens.”

John Cena has vowed to make fans forget Ric Flair by surpassing their joint world title record by winning a 17th world championship.
