John Morrison Comments On ‘Crazy Shift’ In Wrestling World WWE

This past month in the world of wrestling has been very newsworthy to say the least, as possibly the biggest news story in wrestling history took place last month, when Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE.

Triple H taking over from his father-in-law as the head of creative in the company, several WWE stars who were released or left the company last year or earlier this year have made their returns, such as Karrion Kross, Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis and Johnny Gargano.

Another name who was released from WWE last year was John Morrison (Johnny Elite / Mundo / Impact / Game Changer / Hardy / Nitro / Drip Drip), who recently spoke about the ‘crazy shift’ in the wrestling world this past month to NBC Sports Boston’s 10 Count.

He said:

“I don’t know what exactly that means for me, but for pro wrestlers like me who are unsigned, it means opportunity. Where? I don’t know. When? I also don’t know. I think, sometimes, with [Karrion] Kross and Dexter Lumis, like, seeing him too, the time was right, and I think they made the right move, and sometimes it’s better to wait, and sometimes it’s better to go to the other place. It just depends on who you are and what your style is. I’m figuring all that out.”

John Morrison was released from the company back in November of 2021, and has since made the rounds on the independent scene as Johnny Company Name, as well as two matches in AEW under the name Johnny Elite.
