As the rumor mill kicks into hyperdrive over speculation around where Johnny Gargano may appear next, an unlikely answer has emerged.
Former WWE NXT star and sought after free agent Johnny Gargano popped up on tonight’s episode of IMPACT on AXS however don’t get too excited – it was not an in-ring debut nor even a promo.
Instead Gargano appeared as a part of a video package putting over Alex Shelley, the next challenger for the Impact World Championship as two-time champ Josh Alexander is set to defend the title at IMPACT’s upcoming pay-per-view.
IMPACT’s Emergence is set for August 12, 2022 from Chicago, Illinois and is also set to feature a big Knockouts division tag-team championship match.
Unfortunately for fans missing Gargano, there was no apparent tease of any future appearances or signing with IMPACT, rather just popped round to say how tough Alex Shelley is!
A later report from Fightful Select confirmed that Johnny simply appeared as a favor to a friend and confirmed he is not in talks with IMPACT Wrestling to sign at this time.
Johnny Gargano watch remains in full effect as he is scheduled to be in Nashville for a signing, could he also pop up at SummerSlam?
