Current WWE Raw star Johnny Gargano is yet to make his debut at the Grandest Stage of Them All, having only made his main roster debut back in August.
However, Johnny Wrestling has revealed that he was present for a recent iconic WrestleMania match.
Back in 2020, WrestleMania was moved from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa to the WWE Performance Center as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The match between AJ Styles and The Undertaker, which was set for the show, was instead made a ‘Boneyard match’.
The match was filmed on location and served as the main event for the first night of the show.
It remains to this day the final match of the Undertaker’s career.
A fan took to Twitter today to express their surprise of learning that Gargano was present for the iconic match, to which Gargano responded:
That is true! Where’d that tidbit come from?
Johnny was then asked by another fan if he served as an extra during the match, to which Gargano responded.
Johnny Wrestling said that he, Candice LeRae and Tommaso Ciampa asked Triple H if they could go watch the filming of the match due to it being the last WrestleMania match at the time.
Given the historical significance of it potentially being Undertakers last Mania match at the time.. Me, Candice and Tommaso asked Hunter if we could go watch the filming and he let us come by and check it out! Definitely a cool moment to look back on.
The Undertaker was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year in Dallas.
While Taker ended his speech by saying ‘never say never’, he has still yet to wrestle again following the Boneyard match.
Johnny Gargano made his WWE return back in August 2022 after 8 months away from the company.
Gargano is currently involved in the saga with The Miz and Dexter Lumis on Raw.
