Heartwarming Easter Egg On Johnny Gargano Elimination Chamber Gear

Heartwarming Easter Egg On Johnny Gargano Elimination Chamber Gear WWE

More details have emerged on the design for Johnny Gargano’s ring gear for the WWE Elimination Chamber premium live event.

Gargano competed in the US Title Elimination Chamber bout at the February 18 show, surviving for 23 minutes before he was eliminated by Damian Priest.

The popular star’s gear featured a familiar color palette to those who are fans of a certain Australian animated TV series.

Gear designer Jonathan Davenport has now confirmed that he and Main Event Gear worked on Gargano’s Bluey inspired attire.

Revealing that he surprised Gargano with a heartwarming easter egg, Davenport shared the following on Instagram:

This set was a HUGE honor to work on – earlier this week, @johnnygargano and @candicelerae ‘s son Quill had his first birthday and this SuperDad wanted to celebrate with a colorway inspired by Bluey and Bandit. My family ADORES this show so I flipped at the chance to incorporate those aesthetics into our palette!

It was Johnny’s idea to add Bandit’s whisker flecks to the dark blue fields, which I think was stroke of genius. I surprised Johnny with a ‘quill”‘ easter egg on the right kneepad just for the fun factor!

Big thanks goes out to @maineventgear for once again honoring the design while also putting their own unique spin on the set! Enjoy!

Quill is the name of Gargano and Candice LeRae’s son, who celebrated his first birthday earlier this month with a Bluey themed party.

The Elimination Chamber match was ultimately won by Austin Theory, who pinned Seth Rollins following interference from Logan Paul to retain his gold.
