Ever since Triple H took over as the head of WWE creative following Vince McMahon’s retirement, and ever since Dakota Kai and Karrion Kross made their WWE returns, speculation about Johnny Gargano returning to the company has been running rampant.
Both Gargano and Candice LeRae are currently free agents since their WWE departure, with Gargano’s contract expiring back in December and Candice’s contract expiring in May, with neither wrestling anywhere since 2021.
Gargano appeared on a virtual signing for the Asylum Wrestling Store, where he was asked if he had seen the former WWE stars that had been making their returns under the Triple H regime.
He replied:
“I’ve seen. I’ve noticed. It’s exciting times all around. You never know what could happen. Keep watching, we’re [Candice & I] going to show up at some point, wherever that may be.”
Gargano’s former partner Ciampa is set for a United States Championship match on tonight’s episode of Raw. When asked about a potential DIY reunion, Johnny said:
“You never know what could happen. We’re living in a crazy world where anything can go down. You never know what can happen on Mondays or Fridays anymore.”
When another fan said that he hoped to see Gargano somewhere soon, he said:
“I promise. We will. We’ll be making some magic at some point in the future, I promise.”
Tonight’s WWE Raw show takes place in Cleveland, Gargano’s home town, leading to much speculation about him making his return on the show.
