Johnny Gargano Names Both Io Shirai & Kenny Omega As The ‘Best Wrestlers In The World’

Johnny Gargano took part in his first Twitch stream last night (December 14) on his TheJohnnyWrestling Twitch channel, where he was asked questions by his fans.

Gargano was asked for his thoughts on various wrestlers, two of which he named as one of the ‘best wrestlers in the world’.

When asked for his thoughts on current NXT star Io Shirai, Johnny said:

“Thoughts on Io Shirai? Io Shirai is one of, if not the, best wrestler in the world. She is absolutely fantastic, I can’t say enough good things about Io. Io is one of Candice’s favorite opponents, Candice and Io, their chemistry is off the charts. I compare Candice and Io to the chemistry I have with Andrade as well. You just kind of get in there with somebody and you click sometimes, and Io is just the best. She’s the best.”

Johnny was also asked for his thoughts on former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. Gargano also named Omega as potentially the best wrestler in the world, claiming that him and Omega is a ‘dream match’ for him.

He said:

“I think Kenny (Omega) is one of, if not the, best wrestler in the world currently. So, I know that’s a dream match for a lot of people, me and Kenny, and it’s a dream match for me to so, who knows what can happen one day.”
