Johnny Gargano has recalled scrapped plans for a WWE podcast he was set to host with Adam Cole.
During a recent Twitch stream, Gargano discussed his relationship outside the ring with Adam Cole, noting that the AEW star is happy Gargano has started streaming.
Gargano revealed that he and Cole had recorded the pilot for an Attitude Era themed podcast affiliated with WWE, which featured Malcolm Bivens and Dakota Kai as special guests.
Discussing his theory as to why the podcast was dropped, Gargano said:
“We recorded a pilot for a podcast that we hosted. We were going to host an Attitude Era podcast. It was going to be under the WWE banner. We recorded a pilot and it was with a couple of guests; Malcolm Bivens and Dakota Kai. Those were our two first guests.
“There is a podcast somewhere out there that has been recorded with us four talking about the Attitude Era. Obviously, it didn’t happen, I think due to the transition from the Network to Peacock. It was a podcast where you could watch along with episodes from the Attitude Era. It was very fun. Who knows, maybe one day.”
Cole notably left NXT in August after his WWE contract expired. He debuted for AEW at All Out on September 5. Gargano recently became a free-agent in a similar fashion, choosing not to renew his WWE deal, which ended on December 10.
