Jon Jones To Face Jake Hager At Fury Grappling Event

Jon Jones is set to make his return to fighting, and he is set to face off against current AEW star Jake Hager on December 9.

UPDATE: Jake Hager has now responded to Jones’ tweet, writing:

First of all it’s @AEWonTNT and undefeated @BellatorMMA heavyweight Jake Hager, secondly no terms have been discussed or contract signed. We can talk if terms are right.

Jones announced on Twitter today that he would be facing Hager in a Fury Grappling event next month, saying:

Breaking News!! I’m excited to announce I’ll be competing for the number one grappling organization in the world, Fury Grappling! December 9th I’ll be in New Jersey competing against WWE superstar and undefeated Bellator heavyweight Jack swagger

Jones used Hager’s former WWE alias in the tweet, and when a fan tried to inform him of Hager’s real name, he replied:

Thanks, yeah I just found out today. Don’t really know much about him yet

Jones’ last MMA fight took place on February 8, 2020 at UFC 247, where he retained his UFC Light Heavyweight Title against Dominick Reyes.

Hager’s last MMA fight took place at Bellator 250 on October 29, 2020, where he defeated Brandon Calton.
