Jon Moxley Addresses Loss To Darby Allin On AEW Dynamite AEW

Jon Moxley has made his first comments after losing to Darby Allin in their ‘I Quit’ match at AEW WrestleDream 2025.

On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Moxley was shown reflecting on the match in the bathroom and the fact that Allin picked up the victory.

He said:

“I did not deliver on what I promised. Tonight, it was your strength that was the deciding factor.

“Your absolutely unwavering commitment to self destruction was your deciding factor, but one of these days that’s gonna be your downfall.

“Tomorrow the sun rises again and we get back to work, our commitment to being the best 365 days a year, our only competition is ourselves.

“There is absolutely nobody in professional wrestling who does what I do, what we do, who can do what we do.

“Sometimes you make a promise and you give it everything you have, and you really believe you can pull it off.

“I swore his body was gonna fold, I believed in my heart he was gonna fold, so that made me a liar.

Moxley went on to have a match against Kyle O’Reilly, which ended with Mox getting himself disqualified by punching the referee because he didn’t want to submit to O’Reilly’s ankle lock and effectively quit in consecutive matches.

Earlier on AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin had appeared for an in-ring promo, where he simply said:

“As long as the Death Riders are still breathing, Darby Allin isn’t far behind…”
