The big AEW World Championship unification match between AEW World Champion CM Punk and interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley took place on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, and to say it was a shocker would be an understatement.
The match took place at the top of the second hour, rather than in the main event spot, and the match lasted about five miuntes. No I am not exaggerating.
CM Punk kicked Moxley in the head, which appeared to reinjure his injured foot. Moxley then made quick work of Punk, beating him with Paradigm Shift to unify the titles.
Punk was then helped to the back by agents and referees as Moxley celebrated.
