Jon Moxley Calls Bryan Danielson The Greatest Professional Wrestler Ever AEW

New Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley calls a top star the greatest professional wrestler ever.

Jon Moxley defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi to win the Interim AEW World Championship in the main event of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door this past Sunday.

Since AEW Revolution, Moxley has teamed with Bryan Danielson in the Blackpool Combat Club along with William Regal and Wheeler Yuta.

Speaking on the Forbidden Door post-show media scrum, the new Interim AEW World Champion had some high praise for The American Dragon, calling him the greatest wrestler to ever live.

Moxley said:

“In my book, Bryan Danielson is the greatest professional. People say like, ‘[Hiroshi] Tanahashi is one of the greatest ever, Jericho is the GOAT,’ you know, just for my money, my opinion, the greatest professional wrestler to ever live, to ever do it in the ring, is Bryan Danielson.”

Bryan Danielson has been wrestling for over two decades and is one of the most decorated performers to ever step foot in the squared circle.

Danielson was set to face Zack Sabre Jr. in a battle to prove who is the best technical wrestler in the world today, but he wasn’t medically cleared due to injuries suffered in the Anarchy In The Arena Match at Double Or Nothing in May.

Bryan was replaced by Claudio Castagnoli who debuted for All Elite Wrestling as the newest member of the Blackpool Combat Club.

Castagnoli will now team up with Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Santana, Ortiz and Eddie Kingston against The Jericho Appreciation Society in the Blood and Guts Match on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.

Kingston and Castagnoli have a long, contentious history, which Eddie has commented on since Sunday’s pay-per-view.
