Jon Moxley faced Kenny Omega in an unsanctioned match at AEW Full Gear. The match definitely was a brutal match and featured some tough spots to watch.
These spots would seem especially tough to watch if you were married to either of the participants. In the case of Jon Moxley, Renee Young had to do just that.
The WWE Backstage Host commented during the match about being uncomfortable and not a lot of fun to watch at home. In fact, she says she hated watching.
Well, what did Moxley think of her reaction? In an interview with 101WKQX’s Kevin Kellam in Chicago, Moxley had this to say:
“Over-dramatic. Come on, like… it comes with the territory, you know what I mean? You sign the contract, we’re together forever and I will love you forever, but you’ve got to understand that if you’re one of my friends or loved ones, especially if you’re my wife, you’re going to deal with some moments where we things get a little cringey and weird, you know? I tend to fly close to the flame sometimes. Not just in wrestling, in general in life.”
You might say calling your wife dramatic is flying close to the flames.

Renee Young posted her response to the interview on Twitter, including four eye roll emojis. I mean 4 emojis??? Maybe someone is a bit over-dramatic.
WrestleTalk will have live coverage of Wednesday Night’s AEW Dynamite.
