Jon Moxley Reveals Why He Was ‘F**king Furious’ About Recent AEW Show AEW

Three-time AEW World Champion Jon Moxley has revealed why he was “f**king furious” about a recent AEW show.

On March 18, AEW held its first ever ‘House Rules’ house show, which took place in Troy, Ohio and featured Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli teaming up against Big Bill and Lee Moriarty.

There had been some rumors spinning the idea that Moxley wasn’t happy about being asked to do the show, but he’s now addressed that himself.

Speaking on The Sessions podcast hosted by his own wife Renee Paquette, Moxley explained that it wasn’t that he was mad about doing a house show – especially one so local to him – but it was more that he was mad about being pulled from an OTT show in Ireland on that date.

He explained:

“The thing with OTT the other week, I was f**king furious about.

“Totally happy to do the (AEW) house show. You’re telling me I’m gonna do a show and I only have to drive 90 miles to Troy, Ohio? Great. What better way to spend a Saturday night?

“But I was already booked on that day. It’s just this weight – the dates I missed when I was in rehab. I missed a DEFY show, and whatever else, a bunch of AEW shows and a pay-per-view. Having that weight on my back of a date I feel like I’ve gotta make up, I feel so bad about it. I hate having that weight.

“So now I still have to go to OTT. I will make that date up. Sorry about that unfortunate circumstance, fans in Ireland.”
