Jon Moxley Breaks Major AEW Record In Incredible Way AEW

Despite losing the AEW World Championship to MJF at Full Gear, there is a postive for Jon Moxley coming out of his last title run.

Moxley now has the longest combined days reigning as AEW World Champion, with 347 days over three separate reigns.

Incredibly, this record is only ONE SINGLE DAY more than the previous record, which was held by Kenny Omega at 346 days.

Of course, Omega does still have the longest single reign as those 346 days all came during his only reign with the title so far.

Moxley held the title for 277 days in his first reign, 11 days in his second, and 59 in his latest.

That doesn’t include his time as Interim AEW World Champion when CM Punk was out with an ankle injury, which was an additional 59 days.

MJF beat Moxley to win the title at Full Gear on November 19 thanks to help from William Regal, and his first defence is set for Dynamite ‘Winter Is Coming’ on December 10 against either Ethan Page or Ricky Starks.

The Page vs Starks match to determine MJF’s first challenger will take place on this week’s November 23 Dynamite.
