AEW has announced the matches that will feature on tonight’s episode of its YouTube show ‘Dark’, one of which includes World Champion Jon Moxley.
Moxley has been clearly building towards a title defence against Jake Hager, and that match has actually already been taped and will air on a future Dynamite.
On tonight’s Dark episode, Mox is up against Faboo Andre, an independent wrestler whose nicknames (according to his Instagram bio) include the ‘Mariposa of Professional Wrestling’, the ‘Monarch of Manliness’, and the ‘Beautiful Butterfly’.
Also confirmed for tonight’s Dark are:
- Shawn Dean vs. Shawn Spears
- Matt Sells vs. Sammy Guevara
- Preston Vance vs. Darby Allin
Yesterday, AEW announced an eight-man tournament to crown the inaugural TNT Champion. Four of the participants will be announced tonight on Dark, and the other four tomorrow on Dynamite.
AEW announced the tournament final will be held at Double or Nothing at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 23, but obviously at this point in time it doesn’t seem like that’s going to be happening.
