AEW has officially announced a match featuring the promotion’s World Champion Jon Moxley for this Wednesday’s live episode of Dynamite.
Moxley will take on SCU member Frankie Kazarian in singles action on Wednesday.
The show will be the first live episode of Dynamite in quite some time as the last few weeks had been taped in advance due to COVID-19 restrictions.
AEW had actually taped up to the May 23 Double or Nothing pay-per-view, but has opted to return to live programming so stars that weren’t able to be used at the tapings can now start building to matches at the big event.
There hasn’t really been any indication of who will be challenging Moxley for the title at the pay-per-view yet, so it’ll be interesting to see how that materialises over the coming weeks and whether Wednesday’s match will play into it in any way.
We will of course have live coverage for the show as always on Wednesday night alongside our coverage of NXT.
