The planned match between Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy will no longer be taking place on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
As we covered previously, Jon Moxley is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program and will be taking time out of the ring as a result of that.
Moxley vs Cassidy was set to be the second semi-final match in the AEW World Championship Eliminator tournament.
Bryan Danielson won the first semi-final against Eddie Kingston on Rampage this past Friday, so it would have been Moxley or Cassidy facing him at Full Gear in the final – most likely Moxley.
It’s unclear how AEW plans to go forward with the tournament from here and no announcement has been made so we’ll let you know if there are any updates.
We continue to wish Moxley all the best at this time.
