Jon Moxley is commenting on the newest member of the Blackpool Combat Club, as announced on tonight’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
Jon Moxley was asked about Claudio Castagnoli being revealed as the newest member of the Blackpool Combat Club after tonight’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door saw Claudio revealed as Bryan Danielson’s hand-selected replacement for upcoming matches but also, as the newest member of the Blackpool Combat Club.
Moxley said, when asked about Claudio joining:
“Oh it’s the best thing man, that’s another thing that’s just like, this Blackpool Combat Club came together at this perfect time and it’s just so good for me and it just fits so perfectly. For instance Claudio, it just wasn’t even a question. He’s basically already, because its a real thing, this isn’t an act we’re putting on. He’s a real student of Regal and he’s a real training partner of mine… we travelled together a lot… I’ve wrestled Claudio a million times… you can go back and watch that s**t on Peacock, I knocked his f*****g teeth out he had to wear adult braces for two years, so we’ve been there. We’ve been down the road together. He’s like legitimately part of the group.”
Moxley went on to mention that it is possible that Claudio is so awesome, he might not even be human, joking:
“I’m convinced he’s an alien. There’s no way he’s that strong, that fast, and also he’s smart, and he’s nice and he speaks four languages and he has this crazy perfect superhero body, there’s no way, he’s crazy… to have Claudio here every week, training… we’re all going to push each other and make each other better.”
