AEW World Champion Jon Moxley has revealed his real feelings on the current state of AEW amid the ongoing ‘takeover’ storyline.
Since his return to AEW television following AEW All In, Jon Moxley has been on a quest to take over the company with his Death Riders stable.
Moxley has recruited Marina Shafir, PAC, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta to his cause, with the latter three reigning as the AEW World Trios Championship.
Moxley has spoken about his quest to raise the profile of some of AEW’s original stars, and he has now given his true thoughts on the state of the company outside of the storyline.
Speaking to TV Insider, Moxley claimed that his beliefs are ‘very real’, and that he wants to help change the company.
He said:
“It’s very real. I’ve never been much of a putting-on-act kind of wrestler. Everything is always informed by where I’m at in real life outside the ring.
“I do take inspiration from all corners of the universe and funnel it through. At this point when it comes to my career and life, I just have no time for bullshit anymore. I don’t have time to beat around the bush.
“I’m not necessarily alone in my thoughts and feelings. My feelings and motivations are quite ubiquitous throughout AEW. I’m just the one verbalizing it and getting to move it into action. Though I can’t do it by myself.”
Moxley is set to defend the AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy at this weekend’s AEW Full Gear show.
