Jon Moxley has defeated Lance Archer to win the IWGP United States Championship. This marks his second reign with the title.
Moxley got the win by hitting the Death Rider through two tables. They were competing in a Texas Deathmatch and thus Archer was unable to answer the referee’s ten count.
Moxley will defend the title tomorrow against Juice Robinson on the second night of Wrestle Kingdom 14. They were originally supposed to wrestle at King of Pro Wrestling when Moxley was unable to appear due to travel issues.
Those travel issues caused Moxley to be stripped of the title. The former champion Lance Archer then defeated Robinson to win the title, leading to this match at Wrestle Kingdom 14.
