AEW World Champion Jon Moxley has announced he will be defending the title tonight following Lance Archer’s positive COVID-19 test.
Archer announced the news earlier and won’t be on the show tonight.
Tony Khan has taken to Twitter to confirm Moxley will be defending against Eddie Kingston due to him not being eliminated from the battle royal at All Out.
There was originally a six-man tag match scheduled with Moxley, Darby Allin & Will Hobbs against Archer, Brian Cage & Ricky Starks.
Moxley took to Twitter, writing:
Change of plans. I’m putting up the title tonight. Live TV babe. #AEWDynamite
We’ll have live coverage of tonight’s show and will keep you updated with any further news as it becomes available.
