Former WWE Star Teases Return Amid Rumored Contract Offer

Former WWE Star Teases Return Amid Rumored Contract Offer WWE

A former WWE star has teased his next steps amid a rumored contract offer.

Reportedly, WWE made an offer to JONAH (Bronson Reed) to return to the promotion.

Speaking on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said the following:

“JONAH certainly has an offer from WWE. And he’s gotta make a decision. It’ll either be New Japan or WWE. He got a great push in New Japan, and it’s gonna be his call.”

JONAH has fuelled speculation of his next steps with a recent post he shared on Twitter.

In the tweet, JONAH shared a picture of the Tokyo Dome in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan.

Alongside it, JONAH attached a picture of SoFi Stadium, the site of next year’s WrestleMania 39 event.

JONAH captioned the two pictures with a shrugging emoji.

With both WWE and NJPW offering deals to the former North American Champion, the ball is very much in his court as to where he decides to sign.

JONAH made his name on the NXT roster while performing as Bronson Reed.

He was released from his WWE contract in August 2021.

Since then, he has appeared in both New Japan Pro Wrestling and  IMPACT Wrestling.

The Tokyo Dome has been home to a significant number of pro-wrestling events since the early 90s.

The stadium has traditionally hosted the annual Wrestle Kingdom event on January 4 event since 2007. NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 17 will take place this forthcoming January 4 2023.

Matches confirmed for the event so far include Jay White defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Kazuchika Okada.

Kenny Omega also recently challenged Will Ospreay to a match for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at the event.
