A new report has revealed that another former WWE NXT star could be set to make his return with Triple H in charge of creative.
A number of released WWE names have re-joined the company under the Triple H regime, most recently Johnny Gargano, who made a surprise appearance during the August 22 edition of WWE Raw.
Per Andrew Zarian on ‘We’re Live Pal’, Jonah, fka NXT’s Bronson Reed, has also been a name discussed for a possible return.
Zarian said:
“I’ve heard one name over the last few weeks and that’s Jonah. Great G1 (Climax), I talked to a friend over there casually in Connecticut…he’s a name. Bronson Reed got the s**t end of the stick with his positioning. He’s very good, he has the size, he had this awesome entrance with the background.
“I don’t know him at all personally. I don’t know if anything behind the scenes that happened, anything beyond that, but I can tell you there are people very interested in him because of his talent, his performance in the G1. He’s a name that people are interested in. I don’t know what his deal is, but he has come up as a name that I’ve heard.”
Jonah finished the round-robin G1 Climax tournament with 8 points, with victories over Jeff Cobb, Bad Luck Fale, Tom Lawlor and eventual tournament winner Kazuchika Okada. He finished second in Block A, behind Okada.
The former NXT North American Champion was released from his WWE contract in August 2021.
