Fightful recently reported that it had been indicated that Jonathan Gresham was in talks to work for a Tony Khan promotion moving forward, either ROH or AEW.
Fightful Select (subscription required) now reports that, per numerous sources, the ROH Original World Champion is expected to work AEW dates in the near future.
There has reportedly been some discussion about integrating an announcement regarding Gresham into the April 1 Supercar of Honor show, however this has not been confirmed. Gresham is set to face ROH World Champion Bandido at the event to crown an undisputed titleholder.
The report also noted that sources with IMPACT indicated that they expect Gresham to join AEW soon, as he doesn’t appear to have signed a contract with IMPACT.
Gresham has continued to wrestle independent dates in recent weeks, winning the PROGRESS World Championship from Cara Noir at PROGRESS Chapter 130 earlier this month.
In an exclusive interview, Gresham told us that he believes his current ROH World Title run is leading up to matches with two top AEW stars, which you can read more about right here.
