A popular AEW star returned on tonight’s (July 20) Shark Week themed AEW Dynamite and made fans question a new (old) alliance.
On Dynamite, Christian Cage and Luchasaurus took on the Varsity Blonds after Christian’s problematic comments last week. and while they won the match, it was a post-match angle that got a lot of people talking.
After Cage and Luchasaurus’ win, Jungle Boy’s music hit and he down the ramp with steel chair in hand where he was confronted before he made it to the ring, by Luchasaurus.
After a momentary face off left fans wondering if Jungle Boy was about to clock his longtime friend in the face with a steel chair, Luchasaurus stepped to stand alongside Jungle Boy as the reunited pair stared up at Christian Cage.
Cage, who wanted really nothing to do with this situation any longer took off through the barricade with Jungle Boy giving chase.
It wasn’t clear whether or not this was a full return to babyface for Luchasaurus however as noted wisely by John Silver, along with the dark side came new dark colored gear so, we may have to keep our eyes peeled on the dinosaurs’ attire to truly know.
Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite tonight’s Fyter Fest week 2 was Shark Week themed, a former NXT 2.0 star stopped sleeping with the fishes and started swimming with the sharks! Brody King bested Darby Allin and then the House of Black ran amok, FTR cut an emotional promo and now we all want to fight like a little girl and the main event saw the return of the Painmaker, plenty of barbed wire & blood and a heel turn for a star from a popular faction!
Luchasaurus has made his choice and Christian Cage is livid! Tune in to #AEWDynamite #FyterFest Night 3 LIVE on TBS right now! pic.twitter.com/kjZC30h4tW
