If you thought Wrestling MediaCon was big before then it just got a whole lot bigger!
The biggest wrestling convention ever to hit the UK already boasted a mouthwatering line up of guests including Pat Patterson, Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman and Colt Cabana, and live wrestling shows including IMPACT‘s return to Britain for an inter-promotional series against an as-yet-un-named UK company.
Now Revolution Pro Wrestling has announced it will host a 16-man cruiserweight tournament as part of the Manchester event.
Taking place across the two days of the convention (Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9), the British J Cup tournament will feature some of the world’s greatest high flyers.
Already announced for the tournament at Bowlers Exhibition Centre is one of the all-time great cruisers, New Japan legend Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger.
Liger will be defending the J Cup trophy he won at Rev Pro‘s inaugural tournament in June 2017, when the field also included Kushida, Will Ospreay, Marty Scurll, Kyle O’Reilly, Josh Bodom, Ryusuke Taguchi and Tiger Mask IV.
The great masked star defeated Ospreay, Scurll, and Kushida in a four-way final in Walthamstow.
Revolution Pro Wrestling is one of the top wrestling promotions in Britain and is known for its hard-hitting, fast-paced progressive wrestling action and its alliance with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
