It appears former NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane has moved on from WWE, after Japanese promotion STARDOM announced she would be returning to their ranks.
It had been previously reported that Sane’s contract with WWE was set to expire in February 2022, and it appears that is the case. Sane had her last match for WWE in July 2020, and had been working mainly as an ambassador for WWE in Japan since then.

The promotion held a press conference, promising fans a mystery women would be unveiled. Many expected it to be Kairi Sane, who will likely return to her former ring name Kairi Hojo when she re-debuts for STARDOM.
It looks like Kairi is set to return to the ring for STARDOM at their big shows on March 26 and 27, 2022. She was attacked during the unveiling by Oedo Tai, so we can expect her to be on of Kairi’s opponents for these shows.
Before joining WWE in 2017, Kairi spent 5 years in STARDOM, debuting in 2012 and becoming one of the promotion’s biggest stars.
During her first run with STARDOM, she won the World of STARDOM Title, the Wonder of STARDOM Title, the Goddesses of STARDOM Tag Team Titles three times, and the Artists of STARDOM Titles four times.
