On the ‘Brothers of Destruction’ special on the WWE Network, Kane opened up about his relationship with The Undertaker, and some of the iconic moments from “The Deadman’s” illustrious career.
One of the matches Kane spoke about was The Undertaker’s first loss at WrestleMania in 2014 to Brock Lesnar. Kane revealed that he initially thought the ending to the match was botched:
“My reaction, when I was watching, I thought the finish got messed up. I was like, ‘they’re going to restart the match or something because something got screwed up.’ They didn’t. I walked out of the room. I was literally so mad about it. I know that the streak wasn’t something that anybody had ever planned and it was just something that had kind of organically evolved, but it had become a part of WrestleMania lore at that point.”
Paul Heyman has played up this idea in interviews in the last, suggesting that Brock Lesnar might have gone into business for himself and shot on The Undertaker during their match. However, this almost certainly isn’t true.
It has been confirmed that Kane is going to be one of the WWE legends present at Survivor Series this coming weekend to celebrate the career of The Undertaker. WrestleTalk will have live coverage of that show.
