Karrion Kross Opens Up About WWE Main Roster Debut

NXT Champion Karrion Kross has opened up about his main roster debut, reflecting on his WWE career so far.

Kross had one of the most controversial Raw debuts of all time, getting pinned by Jeff Hardy in a matter of minutes on the July 19 show. On this week’s (July 26) episode, Kross defeated Keith Lee via submission.

Kross has taken to Instagram to reveal that it was always his goal to wrestle for NXT and the main roster simultaneously. Sharing a photo of his Raw entrance, Kross captioned the post:

“Scarlett asked me in private many months ago what would be my ideal scenario for going up to main roster. I told her in a perfect world, I’d love to work both shows; @wwenxt & @wwe #WWERAW and possibly even #WWESmackdown. I wanted as much as what was available to do.

Birthday rolls around months later, And on that very day of July 19th, I got what I wanted. Never discussed it with anyone, never talked about it. I just put it out there in the universe and did my best to privately work towards it.

Getting in front of a packed arena, full house and having the opportunity to do what I love in front of the #WWEUniverse; to hear, see and feel them after over a year of being here without a full attendance and chasing this for long before I arrived…

This month has been pretty awesome. Looking forward to the future… And more. ⏳ #TickTock

Kross made his main roster debut without his manager and real-life partner Scarlett. It has been reported that Scarlett is set to join Kross on Raw soon.

On this week’s episode of NXT, it was announced that Karrion Kross will defend the NXT Championship against Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver 36 on August 22. Unless Joe steps back into the ring sooner, this will be his first match since February 2020.
