An update has emerged on the internal roster statuses of Karrion Kross and Scarlett (Bordeaux) following their shock WWE returns.
On the August 5 edition of SmackDown, Kross and Scarlett made surprise appearances in the main event segment to attack Drew McIntyre and tease a Roman Reigns vs Karrion Kross title bout.
Per PWInsider, both Kross and Scarlett have been added to WWE’s internal roster on the SmackDown brand. Scarlett will be Kross’ manager, and isn’t currently planned to be wrestling regularly.
The report also noted that Kross is set to be positioned as the number two heel on the SmackDown roster, behind Roman Reigns.
Kross and Scarlett were both released in November 2021. According to PWInsider, there had been regular communication between the duo and WWE following their departures, so the change in power worked in their favor.
The former NXT Champion was reportedly inserted into the McIntyre vs Roman Reigns feud to set up a match for one of Reigns’ titles.
Reigns ‘unified’ the WWE and Universal championships after WrestleMania 38, however the USA Network has reportedly requested to have a world champion on their show more often, following Reigns’ sporadic appearances on the show since April.
