Karina Cortez was one of the names let go by the company on November 4. The Chilean talent took to Twitter to note that she may have to leave the US before the end of the year, writing:
“At 18 I made the decision to travel to an unknown country, without knowing English I came here… today I receive an email telling me that my visa expires next month and I will have to sell everything that with much love and effort I have achieved.”

A number of former WWE stars have previously struggled with visa issues after leaving the company, including the likes of Jonah (fka Bronson Reed) and The IInspiration (fka The IIconics).
Cortez made her first appearance for WWE in November 2019 as Carolina, teaming with Sin Cara to face Andrade & Zelina Vega on Raw. Her last WWE contest was against Sarray on the October 29 edition of 205 Live.
More details have emerged on the recent releases, including the emails sent to NXT and main roster talent about the departures.
