At NXT TakeOver 36, NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez retained her championship against her challenger and former friend Dakota Kai.
Following the conclusion of that match, Gonzalez was confronted by a returning Kay Lee Ray, who hadn’t been seen since she lost the NXT UK Women’s Championship to Meiko Satomura.
In regards to Kay Lee Ray’s NXT status, PWInsider has noted that she will now be performing full time on the NXT brand, and will be residing in the United States.
PWInsider reported that Kay Lee Ray was working out at the PC since the first week of August.
The follow-up to Kay Lee Ray’s NXT return will take place on tonight’s (August 24) episode of NXT, which was taped last night. You can see the results here.
