One of the more noteworthy moments on the August 5 episode of SmackDown, when SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan came to the ring for a promo.
The usually beloved Morgan was drowned out by chants of ‘you tapped out’ and boos from the crowd following her victory over Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam.
The reaction has confused a lot of people, including SmackDown interviewer Kayla Braxton, who was in the ring with Morgan during the segment.
Kayla took to Twitter after the show to explain why she was ‘disappointed’ with the reaction to Liv.
She said:
For those wondering why I looked annoyed – I was disappointed with the disrespectful chants towards our SD Womens Champion. @YaOnlyLivvOnce is so deserving so hush it when she speaks!
Shayna Baszler was victorious in a Gauntlet match on the show, earning her the right to challenge Liv for the title at Clash at the Castle.
