Kayla Braxton has reacted to her WWE goodbye segment with Cody Rhodes following last night’s SmackDown show.
Kayla announced earlier this week that she was set to leave WWE, with last night’s SmackDown in Madison Square Garden being her final night in the company.
Kayla had been working on a handshake agreement with the company after her contract expired, with her opting not to sign an extension to explore other ventures.
Following last night’s show, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes brought Kayla out to the live crowd in the arena, where he gave her a goodbye segment to the fans in attendance.
Taking to Instagram today, Kayla reacted to the segment, thanking Cody, Triple H and the rest of the company for the perfect farewell.
She wrote:
I’m so overwhelmed. So thankful. Wow. I still can’t put what last night meant to me into words. But to have @americannightmarecody buying me out into MSG to bid my farewell to all of you while @tripleh and members of my WWE family were waiting for me in the back to congratulate me … I couldn’t have asked for a better goodbye.
This family is truly special and I plan to always be a part of it. I love you all more than you know
