Much-loved for their rapport, the status of the relationship between Kayla Braxton and Paul Heyman has been revealed by the former WWE name.
The pairing of Paul Heyman and Kayla Braxton saw them share screen time on WWE television, with the duo serving as co-hosts on Talking Smack, the companion show to SmackDown.
Braxton parted ways with WWE in June 2024, seeking to spread her wings and explore outside projects that she seemingly hadn’t been able to follow during her time with the company.
With Braxton and Heyman having been seen as really close on WWE television, a recent interview with TMZ Inside The Ring saw Kayla Becker share an update on their relationship, saying:
“It may have been a little bit… It may have been six months ago, maybe.
“He used to reach out a lot, checking in on me when he was in town, we did some autograph signings…
“Maybe after this, I’ll text him and see how he’s doing. But he was really good about checking in on me after I left.”

During the interview, Becker would reveal that Triple H had told her that the “door is open” for a WWE return, with the former backstage interviewer hinting she may want to return in a different role.
Paul Heyman: From Outlier To Institution
With all that is known of ECW, it must have been difficult, at the time, to see a future in which the promoter of Extreme Championship Wrestling would go on to be a WWE Hall of Famer, yet that’s what Paul Heyman has done.
An underdog promotion that garnered a cult following, many of its stars would rise to prominent positions across the professional wrestling scene, and Heyman was no exception, first heading to the then-WWF in 2001.
A former head writer in WWE, Heyman’s influence has seen him as comfortable guiding the main roster shows as he is working with up-and-coming talent. Bron Breakker previously opened up about his relationship with Heyman, with it being revealed that Triple H had assigned the veteran to serve as a coach to the young star.
Now very much associated with The Vision, Heyman continues to surround himself with younger stars, be it Breakker, Austin Theory or Logan Paul, shaping their futures and being a prominent feature on WWE television.
Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2024, there were various points in his later career where Heyman could have rested on his laurels, yet he continues to bring his insight to the business, never feeling outdated or outmoded, for the better of all who enter his orbit.
